Training Workshops
The League of Women Voters of Southern Arizona (LWVSAZ) offers certain training workshops for League members, the public, and community organizations.

For more information about any of the League training workshops below, contact us at  520-327-7652 or email us at league@lwvsaz.org.

Voter Registration Training

LWVSAZ regularly offers voter registration training workshops for its members. That training is conducted by the Pima County Recorder's Office, remotely via Zoom.

Non-League members and community organizations that contact the League are referred to the Recorder's Office for training.

Contact us at
league@lwvsaz.org or 520-327-7652 for more information.

Forums Training

In addition to partnering with community organizations to sponsor public forums where voters can hear from candidates and learn about issues prior to elections, LWVSAZ periodically offers training for those who want to conduct their own forums.

Registration is required and a minimal fee is charged to cover expenses.

Contact us at league@lwvsaz.org or 520-327-7652 for more information.

Request to Speak Training

Request to Speak is a real-time system that allows citizens to register an opinion on bills as they are being taken up by the Arizona State Legislature. After creating an RTS account, users can log in to indicate whether they are “for” or “against” a bill, write a brief comment, or register to speak (testify). Legislators will see citizens’ positions.

For more information about using Request to Speak, click here: Learn how to use the Request to Speak program.

LWVSAZ can assist individuals to set up and use Request to Speak.

The League also provides training to community organizations on how to use the Request to Speak system for their own advocacy efforts.
