SCOTUS & POTUS-Development in Exeutive Power

Monday, September 14, 2026, 3:30–5:15 p.m.

James E. Rogers College of Law, Room 168 and via Zoom

 

This year’s American Constitution Society SCOTUS Term in Review will focus on major developments regarding assertion of federal executive power during the second Trump administration so far, as well as an overview of judicial responses to these developments.

 

This event will be presented both in-person in Room 168 and via Zoom for those who prefer to view remotely. It is free and open to the public.

 

Five cases will be discussed:

Learning Resources, Inc. v Trump

Trump v. Barbara

Trump v. Illinois

Trump v. Slaughter

Trump v. Cook

 

The distinguished panel will include Judge Andrew Hurwitz of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals along with College of Law Professor Shalev Roisman. Dean Emerita Toni Massaro will moderate.

 

This educational session may qualify for 1.75 hours of CLE credit for Arizona attorneys.
